Safeguarding

Grace Church Windsor takes safeguarding seriously. We undertake to:

  1. Ensure that all who attend the church’s activities are provided with a safe environment, and protected as far as possible from harm or abuse.
  2. Ensure that those involved in work with children and adults at risk have been DBS checked, are familiar with our Safeguarding Policy and Procedures, and undertake regular safeguarding training.
  3. Ensure that an appropriate response is made in the event of a safeguarding concern being suspected, disclosed or alleged. All concerns raised will be investigated and action taken in line with our safeguarding procedures.
  4. Follow statutory guidelines in relation to safeguarding children and adults at risk, and seek advice from Christian Safeguarding Services (CSS) where necessary, with whom we have membership.

We aim to fulfil our safeguarding responsibilities in a way that is biblically faithful and pleasing to our heavenly Father who calls us to do justice, love mercy and walk humbly before Him.

Our Safeguarding Policy can be viewed here: GCW Safeguarding Policy

Our Safeguarding Lead is Kerry Baker. She has been a member of Grace Church since it started, and has experience of working in criminal justice, higher education and charity settings. She can be contacted by phone on 01753 202889 or by email at [email protected]

Allegations against staff or volunteers within the church should ordinarily be reported to the Safeguarding Lead or the Minister. If, for any reason, you are not comfortable approaching either of the above, or if the matter concerns them, please get in touch with either the Chair of Trustees or Christian Safeguarding Services directly on 0116 218 4420 or via www.thecss.co.uk.
